Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - MORSCO

The sr. cloud infrastructure engineer evaluates, engineers, and deploys virtual cloud solutions, maximizing performance, uptime, and scalability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                    

Engineer, configure, and maintain secure multi-cloud environments.
Advise and develop cloud strategy roadmap
Backup, monitoring, and recovery of cloud systems
Evaluate, Plan, and migrate systems and applications from on-prem to cloud or cloud to cloud
Engineer cloud data storage and retention solutions
Ensure data HA and DR is viable and operating as expected
Troubleshoot advanced technical problems
Maintain software and operating system patches and upgrades for security, functionality, and stability
Conduct assessments of cloud infrastructure to ensure security compliance
Advise and deploy proper governing controls, logging, and reporting
Ensure highest level of systems availability
Capacity planning and forecasting
Maintain hygiene and lifecycle management of technology
Engage with consultants and resellers to develop BOMs, Quotes, and solutions
Stay abreast current and deprecated technologies
Advise and mentor developing team members
Develop technical documentation
Work with program managers to develop or troubleshoot technical solutions

Skill Set and Experience

Bachelors’ Degree

Minimum 3 years working specifically with cloud technologies such as:

AWS, GCP, AZURE
Kubernetes and Docker
Ansible, Terraform, cloud formation
EC2, S3, EKS, Cloud Front, cloud watch
Containerization and serverless
Minimum 5 years additional experience engineering, deploying, troubleshooting technologies such as:

Thorough understanding of AD, LDAP, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP
Windows Server 2012 and 2016
Scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash
Monitoring solutions such as Logic Monitor, SCOM
Relevant Certifications

MCSE
Microsoft: Azure Administrator
Microsoft: Azure Solutions Architect
AWS Solutions Architect
