CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on various Salesforce technologies, features, and offerings. 

  • Provide guidance on technical architecture, integration, development, configuration, customization efforts for the team. 

  • Mentor and coach technical and non-technical Salesforce team members including 3rd party development resources. 

  • Gather requirements, design, code, debug, analyze performance, package and deploy solutions within the organization. 

  • Design solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices and introduce new technologies when needed. 

  • Translate business requirements into well-designed technical solutions. 

  • Understand the entire Sales and Service processes within the Reece USA business. 

  • Maintain awareness of new sales technologies as well as sales processes. 

  • Keep aware of regular releases to help analyze new features, create new processes, and recommend enhancements to Salesforce. 

 

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Operate within the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service and Community Clouds. 

  • Maintain strong knowledge of Salesforce development and configuration including customizing Salesforce application using Triggers, APEX Classes, Visualforce, Workflow, Validation Rules, Flows, assignment rules, security, and access control. 

  • Utilize any of the above skills to technically build an idea from a user story to a usable feature deployed to production environments. 

  • Understand system architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions. 

  • Employ key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices. 

  • Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations and how these play into platform architecture. 

  • Integrate the platform with other system using a variety of authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth) 

  • Build knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, CPQ, marketing automation, reporting, etc.) 

  • Define the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes. 

  • Participate in daily project meetings.    

 

STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Own the platform technical strategy and capabilities to ensure scalability and functionality aligns with the business roadmap. 

  • Deploy a multi-disciplinary approach (i.e. machine learning, AI tools, business analytics, etc.) to solving business challenges 

  • Contribute to building a repository of tools, playbooks and best practices.  

  • Advise on environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.

  • Integrated - Familiarity with company structure and operations outside of IT 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business or equivalent work experience. 

  • 5+ years of experience configuring and building in Salesforce Sales Cloud is required.  

  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills; able to effectively communicate and build relationships with stakeholders, process teams, leadership, and third parties 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present in a clear and concise manner to all levels within the enterprise. 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three or more relevant Salesforce Certifications. 

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce APEX is a plus. 

  • Track record of meeting and/or exceeding established client, project and performance goals.
