Mincron Support Specialist - Fortiline

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide first tier support of existing ERP system.  Will be assisting with reporting and in the development and implementation of the database; including the management of database policies and procedures, data integrity, data extraction, report customization and analysis.  The Mincron Support Specialist is also responsible with assisting in the preparation of new branch offices and the data conversion of acquisitions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Answer user questions by phone, email, in person via on-line support sessions
Troubleshoot user Mincron and related software issues
Maintains databases by enforcing standards and controls
Maintains databases performance by troubleshooting problems
Optimize the use of the databases across the organization by staying current on up-coming enhancements to functionality and guiding staff in the appropriate use of the existing functionality
Assists with database expansion by Assisting Database Manager in design and implementation
Assists with platform upgrades and improvements
Enforces user policies, procedures and controls
Updates job knowledge by participating in education opportunities, reading professional publications, maintain personal networks, participating in professional organizations
Advises on effectiveness of the database tool and service
Monitor database performance
Assist with the building, enhancement and setup of new database designs
Monitor and track data entry procedures
Work closely with Database Manager, IT and Managers to identify user needs
Assist with the administration of a variety of database systems including Microsoft SQL Server, Phocas, Mincron, IBM iSeries
Assisting with conversions and software integration of old system with new system
Test Modifications
Add new users to the system as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by Database Manager
Experience/Skills/Abilities:

Familiarity with Mincron ERP system
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Effective oral and written communications skills
Strong organizational skills and adept at prioritizing multiple projects
Focus on quality and detail
Technical understanding
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Typical office environment - moderate noise level
Regularly requires standing; walking; sitting; kneeling, bending, stooping manual dexterity; reaching with hands and arms; and many hours daily of telephone communications
Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds
Education:

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
