IT Business Analyst

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs; understand the customer journey and define user requirements. 

  • Engage with business partners and influence project decisions; assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands. 

  • Promote architectural consistency and usability standards; define and execute test cases. 

  • Identify opportunities for business-led delivery; coach employees to make use of technology and information. 

  • Identify unarticulated business needs and coordinate between stakeholder groups to address them. 

 

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • As project or work assigned, management of BA duties to support the design, development, testing, and successful delivery of IT deliverables. 

  • Primary resource for defining "best in class" in IT organizations Business Analyst community of FTE and contract labor. 

  • Researching and reviewing up-to-date business processes and new IT advancements to make systems more modern 

  • Collaborating with users and stakeholders 

  • Working closely with senior management, partners, clients and technicians 

  • This role is an analyst position and will report directly to the PMO.

  • Contribute to building a repository of tools, playbooks and best practices

  • Learning Agility - Rapidly acquires new knowledge and learns new skills 

  • Familiarity with company structure and operations outside of IT 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business or equivalent work experience. 

  • 3-5 years of work experience as IT Business Analyst 

  • Broad IT domain experience in three or more of the following areas: Applications Development, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Vendor Management, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, and Maintenance and Support. 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Experience with IT standards such as ITIL, Project & Portfolio Management is desired, but not required. 

  • Relevant experience in wholesale/retail industry
