Inside Sales Representative - Fortiline



* Sales
oSells based on company value proposition by identifying key growth opportunities product and services offerings.
oPartner with Outside Sales to drive revenue including quotations, placing orders, checking stock, checking prices and assisting in problem resolution
oGenerate new and repeat sales by educating customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
oAccurately process customer transactions such as providing pricing or quotes, taking orders or managing returns
oProactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
oIncrease sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
oWork with walk-in customers regarding questions on orders, quotes and/or job specifications
oMaintain active and proactive customer relationship to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints
oSuccessfully complete all assigned training within given timeframe
* Customer Focus
oWork closely with vendors to make sure product shipment /delivery dates are adhered to and communicate changes appropriately to the customer
oContact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints
oAssist with Counter Sales when necessary
* Administrative
oTimely and accurate data entry of sales orders and/or purchase orders into the ERP system
oOrder inventory when needed or when assigned
oAssist with inventory control and physical inventory counts
oAssist in the warehouse when needed pulling customer orders and/or unloading or loading of trucks
oAssist with take offs, enter bids and process submittals as needed (Waterworks only)
* Perform other duties as assigned

* High School education or equivalent
* Minimum 1 - 3 - years’ experience in a related wholesale distribution business

* Must be self-motivated, including high attention to detail with ability to focus and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
* Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Excel and Word; previous experience with an ERP system (i.e. Eclipse, Mincron) is an asset
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required
* Must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to sell product to a wide range of customers both in-person and by phone
* Must be able to work positively within a team environment
* Must be able to learn quickly and have a desire to succeed
* Must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions with minimal assistance
* Must present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
* Regular, timely attendance is required to meet customer needs in an efficient and effective manner
